Ganpati chants echo across UHSR campus
The campus of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR) reverberated with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” on Monday as Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with religious fervour.

Rohtak, September 14, 2026: The campus of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR) reverberated with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” on Monday as Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with religious fervour.
A Ganesha idol was installed with traditional rituals at the university residence of Prof Manjunath BC, Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry and In-charge of the Public Relations Department. Senior doctors, officers, employees and family members participated in the celebrations and performed the aarti, praying for the prosperity of the state and university and speedy recovery of patients.
Prof Manjunath said Ganesh Chaturthi symbolises new energy, positive thinking and unity. Lord Ganesha, he said, is revered as the remover of obstacles and his worship inspires auspiciousness and positivity.
Vice-Chancellor Dr H.K. Aggarwal extended Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to people of Haryana, university officials, employees, students and their families. He said Lord Ganesha symbolises knowledge, wisdom, prosperity and auspiciousness, while his life inspires people to overcome challenges through patience, intellect and hard work.
