Free Medical Camp organized by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, PCTE Group of Institutes
Ludhiana, March 9, 2019: The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, PCTE Group of Institutes organized a free medical and awareness camp, in collaboration with Aykai Hospital, Ludhiana and executed a general medical checkup for the students, faculty member and villagers from nearby places , 350 people participated out of which 200 were villagers from nearby places. To provide health care support, treatment for general ailments, bone and joint, skin, dental problems were provided to the patients along with free medicines. The students of B. Pharmacy and B.Sc Medical lab Sciences actively participated in dispensing the medicines and counseling the patients at the same time they also learned various management skills which are required in hospitals and clinics. Valuable information related to CPR, basic life saving techniques along with various precautionary guidelines for preventing Heart diseases were discussed by the professionals. Dr. Yogesh Chand Gupta, Director, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, said that events like these provide practical exposure to the students which help them in their future and he further added by saying that PCTE always tries to help its students to excel both academically and practically. Dr. K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said that good health always play a crucial role in achieving our goals and this type of camps act a precautionary measure to diagnose and treat various ailments. He further added by saying that the students get immense exposure in participating in activities like these.
