FICO and DIWA hold meeting, discuss on time of day tariff withdrawn by PSPCL

Ludhiana, March 31, 2015: A meeting of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organisations (FICO) and Dhandari Industrial Welfare Association (DIWA) on Tuesday held under the leadership of Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, FICO and Satnam Singh Makkar, President, DIWA. The meeting held discussions regarding the time of day tariff withdrawn by Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd with effect from April 1, 2015. FICO & DIWA demanded that it should be up to May 31, 2015 because Punjab is already surplus in power and there is not huge demand from industry. Paddy season starts from June 10 so it should be allowed up to May 31, 2015. Both the industrial organisations observed that “it will give big relief to industry because industry is availing Rs. 1.50 paise per unit during time of day tariff”.
