Jalandhar, March 26, 2016: UGC sponsored A week long Faculty Development Programme on Advanced Techniques in Research was inaugurated in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Registrar GNDU Prof.Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon. Principal Dr.Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. She said that the role of a teacher is very important. A teacher inculcates moral values in a student. Practical knowledge is very important as it is the need of the hour. She congratulated the FDP conveners for organizing it.

Chief Guest Prof. Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon said that research techniques should be applied after proper analysis. Literature review is very important to find out the research gaps. Research should be a full time activity rather than a part time activity. A researcher should be sincere towards his/her research work. FDP convener Miss Shallu Batra told that in this FDP 59 persons are participating from all over Punjab and UT.

FDP Co-ordinator and Dean Academics Mrs. Meenakshi Syal thanked the guests and the participants. On this occasion, Resource Person Prof. C.P. Gupta from Financial Studies Deptt., Delhi University and FDP Convener Mrs. Gagandeep was also present. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. Resource Person Prof. C.P. Gupta told about Regression analysis and Multiple Regression. In the Commerce Lab, the participants had hands on practice on Non-linear Regression and Probit and Logit Models.
