“Experiments to Exceptions” motivates aspiring entrepreneurs at CT Institute of Engineering, Management, and Technology

The Department of Entrepreneurship Development Cell and the Centre of Career Counseling and Planning at CTIEMT organized a remarkable inter-college Business Plan Competition titled "Experiments to Exceptions." This competition brought talented students from various regional colleges to ignite their entrepreneurial spirit.

Jalandhar, October 10, 2023: The Department of Entrepreneurship Development Cell and the Centre of Career Counseling and Planning at CTIEMT organized a remarkable inter-college Business Plan Competition titled "Experiments to Exceptions." This competition brought talented students from various regional colleges to ignite their entrepreneurial spirit.


The event was a three-stage journey. In the initial round, 35 diverse teams unveiled their innovative business plans. The top ten teams from this round advanced to the next stage, leading to the grand finale. In the showdown, the five most promising teams passionately presented their entrepreneurial ideas.


Cash prizes were a significant source of motivation and recognition for the participants. The first-place team, hailing from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, received a substantial award of 5100 INR, while the second-place team, from LKCTC, secured 3100 INR. The third-place team, also from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, earned a well-deserved 2100 INR. These cash rewards served as a boost, further fueling the entrepreneurial spirit of the winning teams.
The event received an expert judgment from Varun representing O7 Solutions, Sapna Sharma from the Department of Business Management, and Simran, the Corporate Relationship Manager at CCPC.


The event witnessed the esteemed presence of key dignitaries, including Dr. Manbir Singh, the Managing Director of CT Group, and Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, the Dean of Research and Innovation. Additionally, Nittan Arora, Deputy Director of CCPC, and Anjali Joshi, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, provided valuable insights into the significance of startups and their pivotal role in fostering economic growth.


Dr. Manbir Singh Channi, the Managing Director of CT Group of Institutions, emphasized the institution's commitment to motivating and nurturing young minds, as they firmly believe that brilliant ideas are born from brilliant minds.
