Bangalore, October 27, 2015: The students of Greenwood High were enthralled by eminent English author, Alan Gibbons, when he visited the school and spent the day interacting with students. Alan Gibbons has won many awards including the Blue Peter Book Award, competing against such well-known authors as Michael Murpurgo and J. K. Rowling. He is well-known for his campaigns in England to encourage reading and to support the public libraries.
In his lively talk to students he conveyed the important message that one needs to persist as writer or in any field in order to become successful. He used anecdotes from his own life to send a powerful message across to the students. Mr. Gibbons also conducted creative writing workshops with the students covering a variety of genres and techniques.
