The compilers of this database have classified the top scientists in the world into 22 different fields and 174 subfields, following the standard Science-Metrix classification. The research group of John P.A. Ioannidis (Stanford, USA) curated two different databases to recognize the top scientists for their outstanding research contribution in single recent year and their entire careers. This work uses Scopus data provided by Elsevier through ICSR Lab. Notably, CUPB scientists have made their mark in both these databases.
