Chandigarh, January 10, 2015: Taking strong reaction on media reports of checking of girl students by lady teachers Punjab Education Minister Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema has ordered inquiry in this case.
Disclosing this here today in a press communiqué Dr.Cheema said that District Education Officer (Elementary), Gurdaspur appointed Inquiry officers and seeks complete report within 15 days. He also directed DPI (Secondary Education) Balbir Singh to personally look after this case.
Dr.Cheema said that strict action would be taken if any teacher is found guilty. He also issued instructions to all government schools in general that he would not tolerate any such incident in the future.
