First Woman IPS Officer, Dr. Kiran Bedi confers degrees at the 40th Convocation of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar on Thursday.
Jalandhar, April 16, 2015: 40th Convocation of PCM S.D.College for women, Jalandhar, Dr.Kiran Bedi First Woman IPS Officer confers degrees to 376 young graduates and Post Graduates. Pritam Chand Budhia, Manager, DSSD Education Board was the Guest of Honour during the convocation.
The floral welcome was extended to Chief Guest Dr. Kiran Bedi by the Governing Body of the college. CM Markanda and Vinod Dada, Principal Dr. Kiran Arora, Anita Dhawan, Incharge of the function.
Dr. Kiran Arora presented floral welcome address and annual report of the college for the session 2014-15. Dr. Kiran Bedi inspired degree holders through her book ( Kiran Bedi - Making of the Top Cop), Making of the Top Cop is the real life story to instill values and to inspire students . In her convocation address she focussed on three things firstly how to utilise the scare resources optimally and governing body, teachers and students can play effective role in it. Secondly she said that teachers must update their knowledge and focus on research work. Governing Body of the college presented mementos to the Chief Guest Vinod Dada presented Vote of Thanks.
