Rohtak, October 15, 2025: The campus of DLC State University of Performing and Visual Arts (SUPVA), Rohtak came alive today with vibrant Pre-Diwali celebrations, reflecting the spirit of light, harmony, and collective joy that the festival embodies. It brought together students, faculty, and staff in a shared celebration of culture and togetherness.

The morning began with a Hawan organized by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya at the Girls’ Hostel, invoking divine blessings for prosperity, peace, and academic growth in the coming year. The ceremony was attended by Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, senior faculty members, officers, and students. The solemn ritual created an aura of purity and spiritual calm across the campus.

“The Hawan symbolizes purification - not just of our surroundings, but of our thoughts and intentions,” said VC Dr. Amit Arya. “As we light the sacred fire this Diwali, we renew our collective commitment to wisdom, creativity, and righteousness. Festivals like these remind us that true illumination begins within - when knowledge and goodness guide our path.”

Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha added, “The Diwali celebration at DLC SUPVA is a beautiful reflection of our collective spirit - where students and faculty come together not only to celebrate tradition but also to embody the values of unity, joy, and gratitude that define our institution.”

To mark the occasion, students created a stunning Rangoli mélange all around the Girls’ hostel - a fusion of colors, patterns, and themes inspired by light, creativity, and Indian heritage. The artwork became a central attraction, symbolizing the fusion of art and tradition that the varsity stands for.

In the evening, a grand cultural evening featured soulful musical performances, spirited dance recitals, and festive songs by the SUPVA’s talented students.
