Rohtak, March 16, 2026: A one-week Management Development Program focusing on Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence commenced on Monday at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), located at Tilyar.
Vikas Deshwal, a lecturer at IHM, said that the program—organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, in collaboration with the MSME Technology Centre, Rohtak—was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Ranjay Singh (Manager, MSME) and digital marketing expert Sandeep Kataria attended the event as the keynote speakers.
Delivering the welcome address, IHM Principal Shambhu Nath Gautam remarked that the significance of digital marketing and artificial intelligence is growing rapidly in the current era. He encouraged the participants to actively engage in the various sessions to acquire practical knowledge.
Keynote speaker Sandeep Kataria highlighted the increasing role of digital marketing within the hospitality industry, noting that establishing a strong presence on digital platforms has become essential for hotels, resorts, and tourism institutions today. He explained that through social media, email marketing, and online travel portals, these institutions can reach a wider customer base and strengthen their brand identity.
MSME Manager Ranjay Singh observed that modern travelers typically consult online reviews, ratings, and website information before selecting a hotel or resort. Consequently, effective digital strategies play a pivotal role in boosting bookings and fostering better communication with customers. Faculty members and students, including Program Coordinator Dr. Shweta Kumar, attended the program.
