Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar Organised “Reel Deal” Competition
The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar successfully organised an intra-departmental competition titled “Reel Deel” on the theme Campus Infrastructure.
Jalandhar, May 6, 2026: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar successfully organised an intra-departmental competition titled “Reel Deel” on the theme Campus Infrastructure.
The event aimed to encourage students to creatively showcase the facilities, environment, and aesthetic appeal of the college campus through engaging short reels. The entries were judged on the basis of originality, content quality, visual presentation, and relevance to the theme, Hosanna and Natasha (BAJMC VI Sem) secured the first position, followed by Jaskarandeep singh and Puneet ( BAJMC IV Sem ) who bagged the second position. The third position was awarded to Verleen kaur and Vanshika (BAJMC II Sem).
The Principal of the college Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu congratulated the participants for their creative efforts. He encouraged the students to actively participate in co-curricular activities to enhance their overall personality and professional competence.
The Incharge of the Department Prof. Ahuja Sandeep also appreciated the efforts of all participants and emphasized the importance of such competitions in nurturing creativity and media production skills.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a total of 20 entries submitted by students. The competition showcased remarkable creativity, technical skills, and storytelling abilities. The reels highlighted various aspects of the campus, including academic blocks, recreational spaces, and overall infrastructure, reflecting innovation and a professional approach.
On this occasion, Dr. Harjeet Singh (Head, Department of Mathematics), Dr. Simranjit Singh Bains (Head, Department of Economics), Prof. Rajat Kaur, and Prof. Anjali Bhardwaj from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication were also present.
