Chandigarh, July 31, 2025: The students, scholars and faculty of Department of Education, Panjab University, today observed the 86th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Udham Singh paying heartfelt tribute to the legendary revolutionary.
The event was organised to honour Shaheed Udham Singh’s unwavering courage and commitment to justice at the department. The programme featured a poetry session by M.Ed students, showcasing literary tributes to the martyr. This was followed by speeches highlighting the life, bravery, and enduring inspiration of Shaheed Udham Singh.
The Chairperson of the Department, Prof. Satvinderpal Kaur, addressed the gathering, encouraging students to imbibe the ideals upheld by the martyr—courage, justice, and unwavering determination. She also suggested students to read good books on Shaheed Udham Singh to deeply understand his legacy and the sacrifices made during India’s freedom struggle.
