Demonstration and Tasting session of Millets with Tiny tots to Celebrate Poshan Maah

Chandigarh, September 14, 2023: To celebrate the International Year of Millets and the ongoing Poshan Maah, students of Department of Foods and Nutrition and Human Development of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh demonstrated making of Samak khichri and talked about its benefits with the tiny tots of Chaitanya Nursery School on the campus.

Samak Khichri was served to over 50 children who thoroughly enjoyed it. The activity was conducted to develop a taste for millets in children right from the start.

Principal of the college, Prof Sudha Katyal encouraged the children to eat millets and try the recipe at home as well.
