Delegation from Yokohama National University, Japan visits PU
A delegation from Yokohama National University (YNU), Japan led by Dr. Iijima Kazutoshi, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Division of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering and four students visited Dr. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (Dr. SSBUICET), Panjab University. Koudai Onodera and Maki Yamashiro are from Dept. of Chemistry and LifeSciences, Taisei Fujisawa is from Dept. of Mathematics, Physics, Electrical & Computer Science and Kouki Nishiyama is from Dept. of Economics.

Chandigarh, August 24, 2023: A delegation from Yokohama National University (YNU), Japan led by Dr. Iijima Kazutoshi, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Division of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering and four students visited Dr. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (Dr. SSBUICET), Panjab University. Koudai Onodera and Maki Yamashiro are from Dept. of Chemistry and LifeSciences, Taisei Fujisawa is from Dept. of Mathematics, Physics, Electrical & Computer Science and Kouki Nishiyama is from Dept. of Economics.
The visit is sponsored by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT). The project is being coordinated by Prof. Anupama Sharma, Dean Alumni Relations, Panjab University. The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Seema Kapoor, faculty members and students of Dr. SSBUICET. The delegates will visit different facilities at P.U. and neighbouring industries during their period of stay till September 2, 2023.
It is noteworthy that this project has been granted for 5 years (2022-2027), wherein faculty members and students from Panjab University will visit YNU and vice-versa under Cultural and Scientific exchange. Last year, 2 students from Chemical Engineering visited YNU and this year one faculty and 3 students will be visiting in the month of September 2023.
