Ferozepur, March 6, 2014: In pursuit to make the upcoming election fair and square, the Deputy Commissioner-cum- Chief Election Officer Manjeet Singh Narang today hold a meeting with Printing Press Owners of the city and passed important instructions to them.
Referring to Public Representation Act 1951, Article 127 A, The Chief Election Officer, instructed the Printing Press Owners to be vigilant regarding the materials come to their printing press for printing during the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
He instructed the Printing Press owners to not publish such pamphlets deteriorating communal harmony or leveling allegations on some political leaders to depreciate his or her reputation. He also ordered Printing Press Owners to receive an affidavit from their customers duly verified by some responsible person.
He also directed to the Printing Press Owners to submit three copies of printing material related to elections to the Election Office for scrutiny.
