Jalandhar, April 23, 2016: DAV College Jalandhar student Central Association's Annual Prize distribution was held under the preeminence of Prof.Ashok Kapoor, Dean Students Welfare Association. This Annual Prize Distribution marked on 23 April beheld the presence of College Principal Dr B B Sharma as revered sojourner. The inception of the program was pioneered by Prof. Ashok Kapoor Dean Students Welfare, Madhur Chopra and Aakash by tendering a verdant welcome to honorable guest Dr B B Sharma, followed by Dr.B B Sharma paraphrasing the 70 disciples of Student Central Association, where he said, "I'm feeling extravagant while addressing these students sitting in front of me because these students are the essence of our college. Out of 7200, these 70 are stars of our college who will bring grandeur to not only the college but also gleam the pride of the country"Postliminary, Prof. Ashok Kapoor, Dean Students Welfare while manifesting the annual report of the department voiced that how Association throughout the year preferred to handle the can of worms hurdling the students; How the insurance scheme was instrumented under which insurance cover of Rs. 100000 is provided to students met with accidents, and parents of students who died are provided Rs. 2,00,000 of insurance cover for advancing his studies. Furthermore Prof. Kapoor added that under 'Earn while you Learn' scheme, seven students grossed Rs 2,000 per month. He also connoted about arrangement of bus service for DAV students from Kapurthala and other towns, scholarships for millions of children and heartily applauded and concerned gratitude to Dr. BB Sharma for be questing his bountiful efforts. The 70 members of the Students' Central Association were bestowed with souvenirs and certificates.
