Jalandhar, November 23, 2025: CT World School celebrated its magnificent Annual Day, ‘Sher-e-Punjab’, with exceptional splendour as students brought alive the extraordinary journey of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the Lion of Punjab. The theatrical presentation unfolded through compelling segments — Coronation, Battles, Low Point, Secularism, and the Rise of a Mighty Empire — each portraying the valour, resilience, and statesmanship of the legendary ruler with remarkable finesse.
A major highlight was the historical portrayal of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s legacy. Students delivered expressive acting, authentic costumes, and impactful narration that vividly captured the rise of the Sikh empire, showcasing the Maharaja’s courage, compassion, and unmatched leadership.
The audience was deeply moved during the ‘Low Point’ segment, where the decline of the empire was depicted so powerfully that many parents were seen wiping their tears, fully absorbed in the emotional intensity. Soulful Punjabi folk and cinematic singing performances added a melodic depth, elevating the storytelling.
This thoughtful blend of history and art made the Annual Day a truly unforgettable experience for everyone present.
The event was graced by an esteemed galaxy of dignitaries, with Air Commodore Brijesh Paul, VM, as the Chief Guest.
Also present were members of the Management of CT Group —Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman & Chancellor), Dr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director), Parminder Kaur (Co-Chairperson), Tanika Channi (Joint Managing Director), Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman), Dr. Nitin Tandon (Executive Director) — along with Arti Jaswal, Principal, CT World School. The celebration began with a vibrant cultural panorama. To depict the Coronation, students performed graceful and energetic dances from across India — Rajasthani, Classical, Kashmiri, and Marathi — symbolising unity in diversity. The hall resonated with pride as melodious singing performances enhanced the grandeur of the evening.
The theme of secularism, a cornerstone of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s rule, was showcased through colourful global dance forms including Cowboy, Pasodoble, and Tarantella. The KG Wing won hearts with their charming depiction of harmony and their lively Baisakhi Mela performance, filling the auditorium with warmth and innocence.
The school also celebrated its achievers by presenting Academic Excellence, Holistic Excellence, and Maximum Attendance Awards, applauding the dedication and perseverance of students.
A special moment was an interactive session with S. Charanjit Singh Channi, who shared inspiring insights on leadership, culture, and holistic education.
The grand finale featured a powerful Bhangra performance, where a student portraying Gurdas Maan captivated the audience with his charismatic stage presence, bringing the evening to a vibrant close.
