CT University Hosts Thrilling 24-Hour Hackathon

In a remarkable showcase of innovation and talent, the School of Engineering and Technology, CT University recently organized a 24-hour non-stop Hackathon on October 26 and 27. This event attracted enthusiastic participation from 62 teams representing various prestigious universities and colleges across the country, including MNIT Allahabad, Manipal University Jaipur, Punjabi University Patiala, Khalsa College Ludhiana, Chitkara University, Lovely Professional University, DAVIET Jalandhar, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, CT University, and CT Group of Institutions at Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses.

Ludhiana, October 27, 2023: In a remarkable showcase of innovation and talent, the School of Engineering and Technology, CT University recently organized a 24-hour non-stop Hackathon on October 26 and 27. This event attracted enthusiastic participation from 62 teams representing various prestigious universities and colleges across the country, including MNIT Allahabad, Manipal University Jaipur, Punjabi University Patiala, Khalsa College Ludhiana, Chitkara University, Lovely Professional University, DAVIET Jalandhar, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, CT University, and CT Group of Institutions at Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by distinguished Chief Guests, including Dr. Pardeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar at Mohan Dai Oswal Hospital, Ludhiana, and Ms. Solani Gulati, Subject Matter Expert from IBM.


On this occasion Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Dean Academics Dr. Avadhesh Gupta, Head of the School of Engineering and Technology Dr. Jimmy Singla, along with esteemed faculty members and enthusiastic students, all coming together to support and encourage the participating teams.

The highlight of the event was the intense competition among the teams, which pushed the boundaries of their creativity and technical skills.


Following 24 hours of unwavering dedication, the victorious teams showcased outstanding talent and innovation, earning them cash prizes. The top prize was secured by CT University's team, Chitkara University claimed the second spot, and Lovely Professional University clinched the third prize.


CT University's Chancellor, Charanjit Singh Channi, graced the concluding day of the event to congratulate and honour the winners. He applauded the dedication and hard work put in by all the students and emphasized the importance of nurturing innovation and creativity in the field of engineering and technology.
