CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Wins IKG PTU Inter-College Cricket Tournament 2026 Final
CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS), a constituent institute of CT Group of Institutions, lifted the championship trophy of the Inter-College Cricket Tournament organised under IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) after defeating DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) in a thrilling final match.
Jalandhar, March 10, 2026: CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS), a constituent institute of CT Group of Institutions, lifted the championship trophy of the Inter-College Cricket Tournament organised under IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) after defeating DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) in a thrilling final match.
A total of 35 teams from various affiliated colleges of IKG PTU participated in the tournament, making the competition highly competitive and exciting. The final 40-over match witnessed an intense contest between the two strong teams.
Batting first, the CTIPS team posted a total of 109 runs on the scoreboard. In response, the DAVIET team fought hard but was eventually bowled out for 103 runs, giving CTIPS a narrow yet impressive victory by 6 runs.
The closely contested match kept spectators engaged till the final overs as both teams displayed outstanding sportsmanship and determination. The players from both sides were widely appreciated for their discipline, dedication, and remarkable performance throughout the tournament.
Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Satpal Singh, Head of the Department of Sports, said that the victory reflects the hard work, dedication, and strong team spirit of the players. He congratulated the team for their remarkable performance and added that such tournaments provide an excellent platform for students to showcase their sporting talent and develop qualities of leadership, teamwork, and discipline.
With this victory, CTIPS proudly secured the championship title of the IKG PTU Inter-College Cricket Tournament 2026, bringing laurels to CT Group of Institutions and highlighting the institution’s commitment to promoting sports and holistic development among students.
The tournament concluded on a high note, celebrating the true spirit of cricket, teamwork, and healthy competition among the participating colleges.
