CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus organised a meaningful programme to honour progressive farmers who are actively contributing to environmental protection by adopting stubble-free farming practices. The programme was conducted under the inspiring theme “Parali nahin jalawange, Rangla Punjab banawange”, reinforcing the message of collective responsibility towards a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Punjab.

Jalandhar, December 19, 2025: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus organised a meaningful programme to honour progressive farmers who are actively contributing to environmental protection by adopting stubble-free farming practices. The programme was conducted under the inspiring theme “Parali nahin jalawange, Rangla Punjab banawange”, reinforcing the message of collective responsibility towards a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Punjab.

The initiative aimed to recognise and appreciate farmers who have consciously chosen eco-friendly alternatives to stubble burning, thereby safeguarding soil health, air quality and public well-being. Through this programme, CT Group reiterated its long-standing commitment to environmental awareness, sustainable development and community engagement.

Farmers from various regions, including local areas of Jalandhar and districts such as Tarn Taran and Amritsar, were felicitated for their dedication and responsible agricultural practices. Sardar Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group honoured the farmers and applauded their efforts.

Addressing the gathering, he emphasised that farmers are the true guardians of Punjab’s land and that sustainable farming practices are vital for the state’s long-term progress and prosperity. He encouraged more members of the farming community to adopt environmentally responsible methods for the benefit of future generations.

The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group, who highlighted the role of educational institutions in promoting sustainability beyond classrooms. He underlined the importance of collaboration between academia and the farming community to create awareness and bring positive change at the grassroots level.

Also present on the occasion were Dr. Sangram Singh, Director of Academic Operations; Dr. Shiv Kumar, Director Campus; Dr. Vaneet Thakur, Director of Admissions; and senior members from academic operations, who joined in honouring the farmers and expressing solidarity with the cause of environmental conservation.

The event concluded with a strong and unified message advocating stubble-free agriculture, environmental responsibility and collective action towards building a cleaner, healthier and more vibrant Punjab.
