CT Group of Institutions Successfully Organizes ByteVerse 1.0 — 24 Hour National Hackathon
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus successfully organized its first-ever 24-hour National-Level Hackathon — ByteVerse 1.0, aimed at promoting innovation, creativity, and technical excellence among young tech enthusiasts across the nation.
Jalandhar, September 29, 2025: The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus successfully organized its first-ever 24-hour National-Level Hackathon — ByteVerse 1.0, aimed at promoting innovation, creativity, and technical excellence among young tech enthusiasts across the nation.
The hackathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from talented students representing reputed institutions including IIT Roorkee, Chandigarh University, Lovely Professional University, CGC University, and Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, among others.
The event was inaugurated in the auditorium with great energy, followed by continuous rounds of coding, mentoring, and evaluation. Students showcased innovative solutions in diverse domains such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Open Innovation, and UI/UX Design.
To ensure a perfect balance between work and recreation, the participants also engaged in fun activities and enjoyed a high-energy DJ night, which added vibrancy and excitement to the overnight hackathon. The event concluded with the final evaluation and a prize distribution ceremony, where the best-performing teams were felicitated for their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
The first position was bagged by Team Byteverse from Chandigarh University comprising Divyansh Thakur, Atharvan, Deepanshu, Ayush, and Jayesh. The second position was secured by Team Cook from Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, while Team Aerospark from CGC University earned the third spot. Special theme awards were also presented to Team Shinchan from IKGPTU for Best UI/UX Design, Team Aura from Chandigarh University for Best Use of AIML, Team Rox from LPU for the Social Impact Award, and Team AstraX from CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology for the Most Innovative Solution.
ByteVerse 1.0 also celebrated the remarkable performances of the top 10 teams that made the hackathon a competitive and dynamic event. Their innovative ideas reflected the immense talent and potential of the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, congratulated the winners and the organizing team for successfully hosting a national-level hackathon. He remarked that the event reflects the institution’s strong commitment to innovation, skill development, and experiential learning, and expressed his vision of continuing to provide such platforms to nurture young minds and prepare them for the challenges of the future.
