CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan, Jalandhar, in association with Google Developer Groups, Jalandhar, successfully organized a 30-hour non-stop Hackathon – “DevCreate BuildFest 1.0” under the theme “Code, Create and Celebrate.”

Jalandhar, October 05, 2025: CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan, Jalandhar, in association with Google Developer Groups, Jalandhar, successfully organized a 30-hour non-stop Hackathon – “DevCreate BuildFest 1.0” under the theme “Code, Create and Celebrate.”
This marathon coding challenge brought together some of the brightest young tech minds from across Punjab and North India, who competed in a 30-hour continuous coding event to develop innovative solutions, web applications, and AI-driven models addressing real-world problems.
The Hackathon – DevCreate BuildFest 1.0 witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 800 students from 25+ leading colleges and universities, including Sharda University, Galgotia University, Chandigarh University, CGC Jhanjheri, GNA University, LPU, DAV University, GNDU, IKG-PTU (Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur campuses), Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Lamrin Tech University, Gulzar Group of Colleges, APJIMT, DAV College Amritsar, DAV College Jalandhar, LKC Technical Campus, CT University, CT Institutions Shahpur Campus, PCTE Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mehr Chand Polytechnic College, DAVIET, Amritsar Group of Colleges, Modern Group of Colleges Mansar, UIET Chandigarh, Malout Institute of Management & Information Technology, Anand Engineering College, and Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering & Technology. Participants collaborated in a dynamic, competitive environment, engaging in 30 hours of continuous coding to design and develop innovative digital solutions. The hackathon also featured an insightful Cyber Security Roadmap session by Mr. Vishal Kumar, Co-Founder of FutureEdge Labs, and a motivational address by Mr. Awadhesh Shukla, Lead Security Consultant at Quick Heal. Organized in association with Google Developer Groups, Jalandhar, the event encouraged teamwork, creativity, endurance, and problem-solving, while providing participants with real-world exposure and mentorship from industry experts.
The Hackathon DevCreate BuildFest 1.0 concluded with Gulzar Group of Colleges securing the 1st prize, followed by CT University, Ludhiana with the 2nd prize, and DAVIET College, Jalandhar claiming the 3rd prize. Additionally, CT University, Ludhiana received a consolation prize. Special titles were also awarded to recognize unique achievements: Best Use of Gemini went to Lamrin Tech University, Best Design to IKG-PTU Hoshiarpur, Best Social Impact to Lyallpur Khalsa College, and Best Women-Led Team to Chandigarh University.
Chairman, S. Charanjit S. Channi appreciated the initiative, saying, "Hackathons like these empower students to think beyond classrooms. Innovation happens when young minds collaborate, experiment, and solve real-world problems. CT Group will continue fostering such opportunities for students."
