Jalandhar, April 6, 2026: CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan, Jalandhar successfully organized a three-day workshop titled “Data to Decision: Business Analytics with Excel and Power BI” under the aegis of the Research Club of the Department of Management Studies.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Vikas Khullar, Professor at Chitkara University, Rajpura, who served as the resource person. During the sessions, he shared comprehensive and practical insights into the field of business analytics, highlighting its increasing relevance in today’s data-driven business landscape.

The workshop began with an introduction to the fundamentals of business analytics along with hands-on training in Microsoft Excel. Participants were introduced to essential concepts such as data organization, data cleaning, sorting, filtering, and the use of key formulas and functions. These sessions enabled students to work with datasets and understand how raw data can be transformed into meaningful insights for informed decision-making.

On the second day, the focus shifted to advanced analytical tools, particularly Power BI. Students were trained in data importing, transformation, and the creation of interactive dashboards and reports. The sessions were highly engaging and application-oriented, allowing participants to analyze real-time datasets and develop visually compelling data representations.

The final day emphasized strengthening participants’ practical understanding through continued application-based learning and integration of analytical concepts. The interactive sessions encouraged active participation, discussions, and problem-solving, thereby enhancing the overall learning experience of the participants.

Dr. Anurag Sharma, Director, CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan, Jalandhar, addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative. He stated that in today’s competitive environment, data literacy and analytical skills are essential, and such programs play a crucial role in preparing future-ready professionals.
