CT Group of Institutions Hosts Grand 11th Convocation: Over 1,000 Graduates Conferred Degrees by VC IKG PTU

Jalandhar, February 25, 2026: CT Group of Institutions marked a historic milestone today as it hosted its grand 11th Convocation Ceremony, bringing together the academic brilliance of both the Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses. Themed “The Torch of Knowledge Passes On,” the ceremony celebrated the transition of over 1,000 students into global professionals. The Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium was filled with an atmosphere of pride and nostalgia as graduates and post graduates from diverse streams, including Engineering, Architecture, Management, Pharmacy, Hospitality, Law, and other Diploma Programs, donned traditional academic regalia to receive the rewards of their years of academic rigour.

The convocation was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor of IKG Punjab Technical University (PTU), inspired the sea of graduates with his vision for the future. In his keynote address, Dr. Mittal emphasised that the students now carry a profound responsibility toward innovation and societal growth. He noted that in this rapidly evolving digital era, the learning acquired at CT Group must serve as a foundation for careers defined by integrity and a commitment to societal growth. He urged the graduates to lead with a balance of technical proficiency and empathy, reminding them that they are the primary catalysts for change in a globalized economy.

The prestige of the occasion was further elevated by a distinguished panel of Guests of Honour, including Shri Deepak Bali ji, Advisor to Punjab’s Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and Vice President of the Cricket Association; Dr Anupam Deep Sharma, CGC University, Jhanjheri; Shri Sarvjit Singh Samra, MD & CEO of Capital Small Finance Bank;  Dr Navdeepak Sandhu, Registrar of IKG PTU; and Ms Kamana Aggarwal of GDPA Fasteners. Beyond the conferring of degrees, a significant highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of merit awards, where gold medals and certificates of merit were awarded to academic toppers from both the Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses who demonstrated exceptional performance throughout their respective programs.

Presiding over the ceremony, Sardar Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman of CT Group, expressed his immense pride in the graduating batch and officially declared the convocation open. He remarked that the mission of the CT Group has always been centered on genuine career transformation, and seeing over a thousand “torchbearers of knowledge” ready to serve the nation is the greatest reward for the management. He encouraged the graduates to step into the world with unwavering confidence, describing them as the essential architects of a developed and prosperous India.

The event was meticulously orchestrated under the leadership of the CT Group management team, including Managing Director Dr Manbir Singh, Joint Managing Director Tanika Channi, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, and Adv. Manjinder, Executive Director, Dr Nitin Tandon and Campus Directors Dr Shiv Kumar and Dr Anurag Sharma. The ceremony reached its emotional peak with the traditional tossing of the hats, symbolizing the limitless potential of the newly minted alumni as they transition from their campus lives into their promising professional journeys.
