CT Group Campuses Celebrate Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour and National Pride

Jalandhar, August 14, 2026: Independence Day was celebrated with immense patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and pride across the campuses of CT Group of Institutions at Shahpur and Maqsudan, along with CT Public School and CT World School. As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram, students, NCC cadets, young learners, faculty members and staff came together to honour the nation’s rich legacy and the sacrifices of its freedom fighters. From a spectacular Human India Map and NCC march-past to inspiring cultural performances and thoughtfully curated activities for young learners, each campus marked the occasion in its own distinctive yet deeply patriotic way.

At CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, hundreds of students came together to create a spectacular Human India Map, turning the campus into a powerful visual expression of national unity. The formation brought students together in perfect coordination and symbolised the strength of a united India. The campus also witnessed a range of patriotic activities and cultural engagements, allowing students to express their love for the nation through creativity, participation and teamwork.

Meanwhile, at CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan Campus, the celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Guests of Honour Lt Col Nirav Pathania, Subedar Major Saravana and Naib Subedar Suba, followed by the National Anthem. The occasion was further elevated by an impressive NCC parade and march-past, showcasing discipline, coordination and dedication to the nation. Dr Anurag Sharma, Campus Director, and Ms Manisha Basnet, Principal, CT Public School, along with faculty members and students, were present during the celebrations. A diverse range of activities, including Elocution, Poetical Symposium, Rangoli, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Group Song, Group Dance, Solo Singing and Group Singing, gave students a vibrant platform to showcase their talent and patriotic spirit.

The celebrations extended to CT Public School, where students participated in a range of engaging activities designed to nurture patriotism, creativity and a sense of responsibility. The young learners enthusiastically embraced the spirit of Independence Day through colourful presentations and age-appropriate activities, transforming the occasion into a meaningful learning experience. Their participation reflected the importance of introducing the values of unity, respect, responsibility and love for the nation from the formative years.

At CT World School, the Independence Day celebration was marked by a special morning assembly featuring a powerful one-act play portraying the courage, challenges and sacrifices of Army personnel stationed at the borders. The young performers brought the experiences of soldiers closer to the audience through their confident and expressive presentation. The play was followed by a patriotic song by the students, adding an emotional and soulful touch to the occasion. Students from Kindergarten and Grades I and II also participated enthusiastically in specially planned Tricolour-themed activities, combining learning, creativity and celebration. Principal Ms. Arti Jaswal applauded the students’ enthusiastic participation, creativity and heartfelt tribute to the courage, dedication and sacrifices of the nation’s brave soldiers.

Across all the campuses, the celebrations highlighted a common message — that independence is not merely a historic achievement but also a responsibility that every generation must carry forward. The activities provided students with opportunities to understand the values of courage, discipline, unity, integrity, service and responsible citizenship while expressing their pride in the nation.
