Covid-19: Door to door combing begins in four 4 districts of Himachal

Dharamshala: Active Case Finding Campaign for Corona, in four districts of Kangra, Una, Hamirpur and Chamba has started from today along with Himachal Pradesh. The campaign would last for one week in the first phase. Each team consists of two members.

Kangra has 1826 teams with over 130 supervisory staff while Una district 144 combing teams, Hamirpur 537 and Chamba has 610 teams in the door to door combing campaign.

Deputy Commissioner, Kangra Rakesh Prajapati made an appeal to the persons who participated in the Tablighi Jamaat at Nizammuddin Delhi NCR and came back in the month of March in the district and the people who came in their contact to share their information with the district administration or on toll free number 104 and 1077. Failing which strict action would be taken against the persons who conceal the information.
 
He also requested the people to stay at home as far as possible to remain safe during the curfew and come out during the scheduled opening only if it was urgently needed.  He said action would be taken against the persons who violate the curfew. He asked the elderly persons to avoid coming out of their home during the lockdown period.
 
Reports received from Una district tell that as many as 935 persons have been quarantined institutionally in various centers in the district. Essential items, food grains, vegetables, fruits and medicines etc. were supplied as per demands. Around three kilometers of hot spot at Nakdoh on Daulatpur Road near Mubarikpur was sanitized by the concerned authorities. Three persons, who found corona positive  there were sent to the Tanda Medical College last evening for treatment. 
 
 Reports from Chamba district say that food grains, essential items, vegetables, fruit and medicines etc. were sent to various parts of the district as per demand. Ration was supplied to the migrant laborers and other needy persons across the district. Those who attended Tablighi Jamaat at Delhi NCR have been asked to furnish the requisite information with the district or local administration.
 
A communiqué from Hamirpur district say that as many as 51 persons were kept under institutional quarantine in the district at five places. Four persons were put in isolation at HPSEB Rest House, Hamirpur, Seven at PWD Rest House, Sujanpur, 24 at Radha Swami Satsang Vyas, Kohla, eight each at APMC Building, Jahu and PWD Rest House, Bhota.
