Tarn Taran, November 7, 2025: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing both of being "enemies of Punjab and the Sikh Panth" and asserting that only the SAD could save the state.

Addressing a massive rally for the Tarn Taran by-election in Behla village, Badal campaigned for party candidate Principal Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa. The massive rally was organized under the leadership of party Vice President, former MLA, and Zone In-charge, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, and was seen as a major show of strength for the party.

In his fiery address, Badal thundered that the Congress "attacked Sri Akal Takht Sahib in 1984, wounding the psyche of the Sikh community." He alleged that the AAP government is now "walking the same path" by "conspiring to break the SGPC" on the orders of its Delhi-based high command.

"Both these Delhi-based parties want to eliminate Punjab's regional party, the SAD, to silence the voice of Punjab," Badal stated. He urged the people to support the educated and Panthic candidate, Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa, emphasizing that only the SAD truly represents and fights for Punjabis.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura thanked the party president, stating that his visit "has injected new energy into the party workers" and assured a historic victory for the SAD from the zone under his leadership. The rally was also addressed by State Vice President Kuldip Singh Aulakh, District President Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke, and Youth General Secretary Kuldip Singh Lahoria, who highlighted the failures of the incumbent government. The large turnout, especially the significant presence of women, signaled a strong wave in favour of the Akali Dal.

On the occasion, Sukhbir Singh Badal also honoured veteran party leaders Ranjit Singh Rana Behla (President), Balwinder Singh Behla, and Kuldeep Kaur Randhawa.

Others present included Gaurav Valtoha, former Sarpanch Balwinder Singh Behla, Satnam Singh Chohla Sahib, Sukhwinder Singh Ladhi, Member Hardeep Singh Khakh, Rana Behla, former Sarpanch Joginder Kaur, former Sarpanch Sarabjit Kaur, Dilbag Singh, Sukhbir Singh Lodhi, Surmukh Singh Numberdar, and other senior leaders.
