COHS of PAU organises a farewell party

Ludhiana, May 25, 2015: The College of Home Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organized a farewell party for its 60 outgoing students. The function started with the oath taking ceremony of the newly appointed Executive members of the Home Science Association which is a Students' body.

Presiding over the function, Dr Jatinder Kishtwaria, Dean, College of Home Science congratulated the students for successfully completing their undergraduate programmes. She inspired them to remain connected to their roots i.e. PAU and flourish in their lives. She also exhorted them to achieve greater heights in their academic as well as personal endeavours.

The outgoing students catwalked the stage for the Miss Outgoing 2015 contest and the title was won by Ms. Harman Taggar, followed by Ms Arpana for Best Attire, and Ms. Chamanjot Kaur as Pretty Girl. The Judges for the contest, Dr Subhashani Verma, Head (retd.), Department of Foods and Nutrition, Dr Sandeep Bains, Head, Department of Apparel and Textile Science and Dr Sharanbir Kaur, Assistant Professor, Family Resource Management awarded the titles to the winners. The “Student of the Year” award was bagged by Ms. Aditi Sewak for her achievements in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities. A few cultural items were also presented by the students of the College. The programme was organized by the Home Science Association of the College under the supervision of Dr. Sumeet Grewal and Dr. Surbhi Mahajan.
