Bengaluru, September 02, 2025: CMR University, a pioneer in progressive education, in collaboration with the renowned Institute of Product Leadership, officially welcomed the new cohort for the MBA Technology Management program. The induction ceremony, held at the university's Lakeside Campus, marked a significant milestone in the journey of nurturing future-ready technology leaders.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, graced by chief guests, program dignitaries, and the new students. The morning's agenda was packed with insightful addresses from distinguished academic and industry leaders.

Nabeel Khan, Director of Admissions at the Institute of Product Leadership, delivered the welcome note and set the agenda for the day.

In his address, Dr. H. B. Raghavendra, Vice Chancellor of CMR University, shared the momentous news of the university achieving the prestigious NAAC 'A' grade accreditation. This accomplishment underscores the university's unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards of academic excellence.

Dr. K. C. Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), Chairman, CMR Group of Institutions and Former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, highlighted the enduring and strategic partnership between CMR University and the Institute of Product Leadership. He emphasized the critical role of the budding technology managers in shaping the future, stating that they are pivotal to navigating the complexities of the digital-first era.

Professor SaiSatish Vedam, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of the Institute of Product Leadership, delivered a compelling talk on the profound impact of Artificial Intelligence on the industry. He urged the students to prioritize the development of a "proof of skill" over a mere "proof of knowledge," stressing the importance of practical, hands-on expertise in the contemporary job market.

The cohort had the unique opportunity to hear from two distinguished chief guests, Akash Mohan and Mandar Deshpande. Akash Mohan, the Senior Director of Product Management at VISA, brings a wealth of experience from his leadership roles at major corporations like EMC and Honeywell. Mandar Deshpande, the Chief Technology Officer at Concertiv, has an extensive background in financial services and insurance, with nearly three decades of experience in global capability centers and consulting.
