CM Nayab Singh Saini plants a sapling at MDU, Rohtak

Rohtak, July 23, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was welcomed at MDU, Rohtak today by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Poonia, who presented him with a bouquet. Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal also welcomed the Chief Minister on the occasion.
During his visit to the university campus, the Chief Minister planted a sapling, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and the development of a greener environment. He emphasised that environmental protection was a collective responsibility and called upon people to plant more trees and ensure their proper care.
CM Saini said tree plantation was not merely an activity but an important responsibility towards securing a safe and sustainable future for coming generations. He stressed the need for collective efforts to maintain ecological balance and promote environmental awareness.
VC Prof. Milap Poonia said MDU was committed to environmental conservation and the development of a green campus. He said the university regularly undertook tree plantation drives and other initiatives to promote greenery and environmental awareness among students, faculty and staff.
