Ludhiana, February 21, 2015: City-based industrialist Mohinder Singh Salh passed away on Friday, leaving a void in the Industry of Punjab.
Salh was born in 1930 in Sunam. He came to Ludhiana in 1952 and started a small workshop in Millerganj Area.
He was pioneer, self made engineer who set up sewing machine parts manufacturing unit in 1958, making import substitute parts like feed regulators, shuttle and other parts. The firm, MS & Brothers was established by him.
He started another firm, Emkay Engineers in Industrial Area to manufacture auto parts like Clutch lever kits.
He was life member of Ramgarhia Educational Council (Regd) and President of Dashmesh Senior Secondary School. He was also executive member of Auto Parts Manufacturer Association India.
He was a great philanthropist, and helped to promote education to the poor.
The Antim Ardas and Bhog Sehaj Paath will be held on 1st March,2015
at Baba Gurmukh Singh Hall, Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana(1pm-2pm).
