CICU WEF Hosts Child Safety Awareness Workshop on “Good Touch & Bad Touch”

Ludhiana, August 21, 2025: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings – Women Entrepreneur Forum (CICU WEF), in collaboration with Shree Ram Global Pre School, Mall Road, Ludhiana, organized an impactful awareness workshop on “Good Touch & Bad Touch” to help young children understand personal safety in their daily lives. The session blended age-appropriate learning, theatre, and interactive dialogue to build confidence and empower children to speak up.

Invited by School Principal Shivani Chaudhry, the workshop drew enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and parents. The program opened with a warm welcome and introductory remarks by Rajni Sethi, Convener of CICU-WEF who set the context for why early, positive conversations about body safety are essential.

A short, child-friendly play—scripted and directed by Aishni Sethi, member CICU-WEF —brought the theme to life through simple stories, everyday situations, and clear do’s and don’ts. The play was enacted by Anu Gupta, Aarti Kapoor, and Priya Choudhary members CICU-WEF, who used expressive role-play, visual cues, and easy language to help children remember key safety rules without fear or confusion.

Shivani Chaudhry, Principal, said: “Safety education must begin early—today’s workshop gave our children the words and confidence to protect themselves, and gave our teachers and parents a clear roadmap to support them.”

Aishni Sethi, said, “Theatre helps children understand complex ideas simply. When they see situations played out, they remember how to respond.”

Rajni Sethi said, “CICU WEF is committed to building safer communities. Empowering children with knowledge is the strongest prevention.”

Shelly Gupta said, “Every child deserves to feel safe. Consistent, stigma-free conversations at home and school can prevent harm and encourage timely reporting.”

Delivering the vote of thanks,  Sherrie Nayyar expressed gratitude to the school management, faculty, and volunteers: “Your partnership made this meaningful, memorable, and action-oriented for our young learners.”
