CHEQUES OF INSURANCE AMOUNT DISTRIBUTED AMONGST CYLINDER BLAST VICTIM FAMILIES

CHEQUES DISTRIBUTED BY MP RAVNEET SINGH BITTU; PUNJAB GOVT STANDING ROCK SOLID WITH EVERY VICTIM: BITTU Ludhiana, October 31, 2018: The cheques of insurance amount were distributed amongst the victim families of cylinder blast that took place in Samrat Colony, Giaspura in April this year. These cheques were handed over by Member of Parliament Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier also the Punjab government has already handed over cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to the victim families. During this tragic incident, a total of 40 persons were injured, out of which 14 had succumbed to their injuries, while one person had suffered loss of property. The Punjab government had provided free treatment to all the injured persons. While speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu said that the compensation has been provided by the Gas company. While terming this incident very tragic, he assured the victim families that the Punjab government as well as the Congress party is standing rock solid with them. Prominent among those present on the occasion included MLA Mr Sanjay Talwar, Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu, District Congress Committee (Urban) President Mr Gurpreet Singh Gogi, DFSCs Mr Rakesh Bhaskar and Mr Rajinder Beri, Congress leader Mr Jasbir Lavan, besides several others.
