Chandigarh March 21, 2016: Centre for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh today organised a one day workshop on “Tally Accounting Software Skill Training”
The worshop was organised to enhance the accounting skills of hostel staff by training them on Tally Accounting Software at the Seminar Room of College Bhawan, PU. As many as 50 staff members of Hostels and departments participated in the training programme. Staff members were trained to create accounts, keep the data in double entry format, store backup and other aspects of Tally Software.
Industry Professional, Sh. Deepak Arora and his team from Tally Solutions took the various training session on the software. Hostels of PU recently purchased and installed Tally Accounting Software for management of accounts on accrual basis. The step is taken by the PU to bring more transparency in the working of the hostel accounts.
In the afternoon a review session was organized which was chaired by the Dean Student Welfare (DSW), Prof Navdeep Goyal. All Hostel Wardens also participated in the review session in the afternoon and their queries were properly responded too.
Participants had given the positive feedback about the training programme. From next week onwards, the hostel staff will use the Tally software in the office for accounting. Thereafter, an advance training programme on the same would be organized in the next week./ (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
