Central University of Punjab organized LIVE Screening of Chandrayaan 3 landing on the moon

Bathinda, August 23, 2023: To eyewitness the momentous occasion of Chandrayaan 3 soft landing on the south pole of moon, the Central University of Punjab invited a special assembly session to watch the LIVE Screening programme. The livescreening event showcased the monumental journey of Chandrayaan 3 as it ventured to conquer uncharted territories on the moon's unexplored south pole. Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, along with university officers, faculty and students joined together to witness this historic moment.

During this programme, the live feed from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) command centre was projected onto a large screen, providing an immersive experience for all attendees. The auditorium erupted in applause and cheers as the lander successfully completed soft landing on the moon's surface, marking a historic milestone in India's illustrious space exploration endeavors. The participants resounded with a sense of accomplishment and national pride as the mission achieved its objectives.

After the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3, the CUPB fraternity tuned in to watch the address to the nation by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. During his address, he extended his congratulations to both ISRO and the citizens of India. He highlighted that this significant achievement has positioned India as the fourth country to successfully execute a soft landing on the moon’s surface and notably, the first country to reach the lunar South Pole.

During this poignant moment, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice-Chancellor, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the dedicated ISRO scientists and professionals who contributed to this extraordinary achievement.
