Centenary Car Rally of Rashtriya Military School Chail traverses across India
The Georgians Association, alumni of the Rashtriya Military Schools, is proudly conducting a Nationwide Car Rally to celebrate the Centenary of Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Chail, established on 15 September 1925.

Jalandhar, September 20, 2025: The Georgians Association, alumni of the Rashtriya Military Schools, is proudly conducting a Nationwide Car Rally to celebrate the Centenary of Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Chail, established on 15 September 1925.
The rally was ceremonially flagged off on 06 September 2025 from the Manekshaw Centre, Delhi, by General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff. Carrying the message of pride and remembrance, the rally is linking all Rashtriya Military Schools across the country, retracing a journey of service, sacrifice, and shared heritage.
Led by Colonel Manish Dhaka, VSM and Colonel Ravi Kaushik of 2002 batch the rally of 25 spirited alumni has already visited RMS Dholpur, RMS Belgaum, RMS Bengaluru, and RMS Ajmer, rekindling bonds of camaraderie at every stop. It also made a poignant halt at Nowgaon, Madhya Pradesh, where RMS Chail functioned between 1952 and 1960 before returning to its home in the hills of Himachal Pradesh.
On its northern circuit, the rally reached Jalandhar on 19 September, where it was received with great warmth by fellow alumni and citizens. On 20 September, it was ceremonially flagged off by Maj Gen Atul Bhadauria, VSM, Chief of Staff, Vajra Corps, from the historic building where RMS Chail was first raised a century ago. This symbolic gesture marks the beginning of the final leg of the rally to Chail, where it will culminate in a grand Centenary Celebration.
Speaking on the occasion, Maj Gen Atul Bhadauria, VSM said, “This rally is more than a journey on roads – it is a journey through Memories, Values and Bonds. As RMS Chail turns 100, we salute its unmatched legacy and pledge to carry its spirit of discipline, camaraderie, and patriotism into the future.”
A Legacy that Inspires founded in 1925 as King George’s Royal Indian Military School, Chail, the school has for a century nurtured leaders of character, courage, and conviction. Its alumni have donned uniforms with pride, serving with distinction in the Armed Forces, while many others have contributed to nation-building in diverse fields.
The Centenary Car Rally stands as both a tribute to this illustrious past and a beacon of inspiration for the youth of India, reaffirming the timeless motto: “Sheelam Param Bhushanam - Character is the Highest Virtue.”
