Celebration of World Environment Day Week at PU
The Department of Environment Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the leadership of Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Chairperson and Warden Boys hostel No. 1, is celebrating World Environment Day Week from 30th June, 2023 till 5th June, 2023.

Chandigarh, May 30, 2023: The Department of Environment Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the leadership of Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Chairperson and Warden Boys hostel No. 1, is celebrating World Environment Day Week from 30th June, 2023 till 5th June, 2023 to spread the mantra of “LIFE- Lifestyle for Environment” introduced by the Prime Minister Narender Modi in CoP26 to combat climate change. A number of activities will be carried out throughout the week.
As a part of these celebrations, a cycle rally was organised on 30th May, 2023 in the Panjab University campus. Prof. Jatinder Grover, Dean Student Welfare, Panjab University was Chief Guest on this occasion. While flagging off the cycle rally, DR. Grover said that the rally is to spread the message of using bicycle every day to reduce pollution and adopt a healthy lifestyle among students and also to promote less use of vehicles within the University campus. Students and wardens of boy’s hostel no 2 and 3 also participated in this venture.
