Bilva Indian School opens its doors for 2014-15 academic year

Dubai, March 6, 2014: Bilva Indian School, the newest entrant in Dubai’s academic horizon with a capacity to cater to more than 3,000 students, has opened its state-of-the-art campus in Al Qusais School Zone-Dubai. The CBSE curriculum school is currently enrolling students from Kindergarten-1 up to Grade-6 for the 2014-15 academic year.

The official inauguration ceremony of the school was attended by Sharad Pawar, Minister of Agriculture, Government of India; Arun Jaitley- Leader of the Opposition in the Indian Parliament (RajyaSabha); Dr. Prabhakar Kore- Member of Parliament and patron of Bilva Indian School; and BR Shetty- prominent Indian leader in the UAE, CEO & MD of NMC Group.

The BIS campus, spanning over 2,40,000 square feet, is strategically located in Al Qusais School Zone in a close proximity to the neighbouring residential communities as well as the emirates of Sharjah and Ajman. The campus, with an appealing international standard infrastructure, has been approved by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) for enrollments up to Grade-6currently.

Commenting on the inauguration of the campus, Dr. Prabhakar Kore, said, “We are proud to announce opening of the new campus in the heart of Dubai. Bilva Indian School will provide world-class education having a strong focus on Indian culture and values. Our rich heritage helps us to have the edge of a world-class academic pedagogy rooted in the Indian culture.”

Speaking on the occasion, Ahmad Mohamed Al Jafla Al Hemeiri, Director – BIS, said: “Being a new entrant in Dubai’s education sector, our responsibilities are manifold. Our curricula led by teacher-experts in their fields, provides opportunities for the students to excel in their areas of choice.
