The festival highlights the best delicacies of Issan province
Chennai, November 1, 2016: Benjarong, the popular Thai restaurant of the city is hosting Issan festival for the first time in namma Chennai at its outlet at TTK Road until November 13, 2016.The festival highlights the handpicked delicacies from Isaan region of Thailand.

The word ‘Isaan’ means ‘Northeast’ which has a collective reference of 20 provinces from the North-eastern, Thailand. The cuisine is very different from the central Thailand and is inspired by neighbouring country Laos. The food is well-known for being spicy, pungent and is seasoned with herbs. Issan is home for many world renowned Thai dishes and one of the most celebrated dishes of the province is thai raw papaya salad’ - Som Tam’.

Spearheaded by Brand Chef Ram Kumar, the festival aims to provide the authentic taste of Issan cuisine. The festival features a wide range of non-vegetarian and vegetarian appetizers, Salad and Soup, Main Courses and desserts by highlighting the cuisine at its best.
