Ludhiana, April 11, 2015: Independent MLAs Simarjeet Singh Bains and Balwinder Singh Bains along with around 100 supporters were arrested by the local police today.
They were about to lodge the protest by forming a human chain against the sand mafia in Punjab.
They were on their way towards Ferozepur road where they were scheduled to form a human chain.
However they were apprehended on the way.
They were arrested for allegedly violating Section 144 of the CrPC.
