Awareness Workshop on E-Waste Management and Recycling at ICSSR PU

Chandigarh, September 12, 2023: The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Panjab University organized one Day Awareness Workshop on E-Waste Management and Recycling at ICSSR, Panjab University.  

This workshop was as an effort to combat the growing global issue of e-waste and to show the commitment of Panjab University to responsible e-waste management and recycling practices. For the same, the coordinator of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Dr Anuj Kumar said that improper disposal and inadequate recycling of e-waste can result in environmental pollution, health hazards, and resource depletion. Therefore, a proper care and awareness for the disposal of E-Waste is required. 

In the same direction, Er. Vishal Sharma from Department of Electronics UIET said that to address the challenge of E-waste management the motto Reduce-Reuse-Recycle must be established in various organizations which are the source of E-Waste. 
On this occasion, Surender and Sushma, Garbage Collectors were honoured by Dr.Anuj Kumar, Er. Vishal Sharma and Dr. Bharat.
