In order to provide hands-on training to faculty members, research scholars, and students in statistical data analysis, the Department of Statistics, Panjab University will organise a seven-day workshop titled “Data Analysis using SPSS” from July 11 to 18, 2025 (excluding Sunday).

Chandigarh, July 4, 2025: In order to provide hands-on training to faculty members, research scholars, and students in statistical data analysis, the Department of Statistics, Panjab University will organise a seven-day workshop titled “Data Analysis using SPSS” from July 11 to 18, 2025 (excluding Sunday).

The workshop has been designed to provide training in statistical data analysis using SPSS software and is open to faculty members, research scholars, and students from disciplines such as Sciences, Social Sciences, Management, Humanities, and other fields involving research methodology and data analysis. Doctors and biostatisticians from medical institutes and other academic institutions are also encouraged to participate, as the workshop is expected to benefit professionals working with data-driven research. This workshop provides an excellent opportunity for researchers and academicians to enhance their skills in data analysis using one of the most widely used statistical tools in academic and professional research.
The registration fee is Rs. 3,000/- for faculty members, Rs.2,000/- for research scholars and students, and Rs.3,540/- (inclusive of 18% GST) for other participants.
The selection of participants will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. All participants are advised to bring their personal laptops with SPSS software installed. Selected candidates will be notified via email or phone, or they may confirm their selection by contacting the Department of Statistics office.
