Some unidentified robbers took away an ATM of Punjab and Sindh Bank with over Rupees Two Lakh in it last night. As per the sources, the police received a call late night that ATM machine is missing from Punjab & Sind Bank at Satiyawala. During the preliminary investigation, it was noticed that neither CCTV camera was installed in the ATM room nor any security guard was on duty.
Ferozepur, October 12, 2014: An interesting incident of robbery was reported near Village Satiyewala, where some unidentified robbers took away an ATM of Punjab and Sindh Bank with over Rupees Two Lakh in it last night.
As per the sources, the police received a call late night that ATM machine is missing from Punjab & Sind Bank at Satiyawala. During the preliminary investigation, it was noticed that neither CCTV camera was installed in the ATM room nor any security guard was on duty. The police authorities informed that Reserve Bank of India had issued instructions long back for installation of CCTV cameras and posting of security guards at the ATMs.
Kamlesh Vohra, Bank Manager confirmed that there was more than Two Lakh cash in the ATM machine and final details would be known on Monday morning. The police have registered a case against the unidentified persons on the statement of Bank Manager and further investigations have been started.
