Alumni of Lyallpur Khalsa College contributes Rs. 1 lakh to the College Bhangra team

Jalandhar, December 2, 2025: Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar has been making significant and unique contributions in the fields of education, research, sports, and culture for 115 years. This institution has always been committed to the flourishing, promotion, and dissemination of Punjab's folk dance, Bhangra. The alumni of the college, living all over the world, continue to uphold this vision and provide guidance and financial support to the college in cultural and academic matters.
Taking a commendable step in this direction, an alumnus of the college, Sarpreet Singh from Toronto, Canada, encouraged the college's Bhangra team and presented a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh to the College Governing Council. He expressed pride in being a student of the institution, highlighting how the college has uniquely contributed to shaping and improving his personality. He added that he is always ready to enhance the aura of the institution and wishes to see it reach the pinnacle of success. He also acknowledged his indebtedness to the teachers and the Governing Council for their guidance, love, and respect.
On this occasion, the President of the Governing Council, Balbir Kaur, and Vice President, Deepinder Singh Purewal, specially present, welcomed this contribution and appreciated him for the love, concern, and respect shown towards the popular folk dance of Punjab. Sarpreet Singh reiterated his pride in the talented students who are making the college proud internationally, wishing them continued support and success in the future.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Navdeep Kaur, expressed special gratitude to Sarpreet Singh and wished him happiness, success, and greater achievements in life. Former Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Dean of Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina, who were also present, congratulated the Bhangra team for this special encouragement. It is noteworthy that the Bhangra team has successfully participated in university, national, and international youth competitions over the years, consistently raising the flag of success. Everyone present expressed pride in every achievement of the college Bhangra team.
