From All-Black to All The Seven Colors

Zee TV’s popular primetime show Kaala Teeka is a poignant social drama that attempts to break the shackles of age-old superstitions and endeavors to discourage blindly following them amongst the masses. The show that has struck a chord with its shocking plot of a human kaala teeka – a girl whose sole purpose in life is to serve as a talisman and ward off evil from another girl, the audiences is all geared up for an exciting ‘satrangi’ wedding of its protagonist Kaali (Played by Simran Pareenja). With her wedding around the corner, the bride-to-be (Kaali) seems to be finally breaking free from the rule of wearing only black!

While the upcoming wedding brings in an interesting twist to the plot, it’s Simran who is mighty excited about her flamboyant look. The beautiful actress, who otherwise wears only black clothes for her character in the show, will be seen donning an array of colourful attires in the new avatar. The wedding will have seven different rituals and the gorgeous lady will be seen wearing seven different colours for each of the key occasions. Well this isn’t all, the actress believes that the advantage of wearing black is that it makes you appear slimmer. To ensure she looks just as lean in the vibrant wedding attire too, the passionate lady has pulled up her socks and hit the gym with a vengeance. Simran is undergoing a rigorous workout regime and a strict diet plan from the past one month. She plans to look her ravishing best at her screen wedding.

Simran shares, “Given the nature of my role, I had been wearing black all the time. Trust me, it’s not an easy task especially when it’s scorching hot. The heat becomes unbearable…Black is one of my favourite colours, but wearing it all the time was a little too much. With the upcoming wedding sequence in the show, I am the most excited person around. I will be seen, for the very first time, in colourful clothes, during the wedding week. The team is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the look is resplendent. Shaadis have always fascinated me and I’m looking forward to this most interesting sequence.”

She adds, “I believe black makes us look slimmer, so to look toned and fit in my colourful avatar too, I’m on a strict workout routine. With the upcoming wedding track, the twists and turns will keep flowing. I’m sure the audience will love watching the new track of the show.”

Get ready to witness the much awaited ‘Satrangi Shaadi’ this week! While Kaali gears up for her wedding, it is Gauri who is incessantly trying to create problems in her wedding rituals. Will Kaali be able to fight against all the odds and get married to Yug (Rohan Gandotra)?
