AIFMP distributes Rs. 9,00,397 to delegates who visited Print Technology Exhibition at Kuala Lumpur

Ludhiana, December 15, 2014: For the first time ever in the 65 year history of the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) an amount of Rs. 9,00,397 has been distributed to the delegates who visited Print Technology Exhibition at Kuala Lumpur, under the banner of AIFMP on 14-18 August, 2014. Giving this information, Kamal Chopra, Chairman International Cooperation said, we have already received the said grant from the Government of India, Ministry of MSME under international cooperation scheme.  He said, distribution ceremony for this grant-in-aid from the GoI will be arranged where this amount will be distributed to the eligible entrepreneurs who visited Print Technology Exhibition last August under the banner of AIFMP.

Speaking on the occasion, Chopra intimated that under the international cooperation scheme of the Government of India, 75 to 85 per cent of the airfare is reimbursed to the eligible registered entrepreneur possessing EM Part-2 certificate after following the prescribed procedure of submitting the feedback report and outcome of the visit. Under this scheme the entrepreneurs are encouraged to visit overseas exhibitions to learn and understand the latest developments so as to increase quality production to withstand the increasing global competition.

Speaking on the occasion, Dev Nair, President AIFMP said, it is a known fact that India is fast emerging as the factory of printing and packaging, the group members were interested to find out interested companies to get their work done from India. In these days of out-sourcing, India can become a hub of providing printing and packaging services to the world. We have an excellent potential for export of these services, but there is a need to cost competitive and leverage our capacities in this sector for this purpose. Printing and packaging industry is developing at a very fast pace and India has the advantage of having the largest English known young population. With 12.5 per cent growth per annum, Indian Printing and Packaging Industry can generate phenomenal increase in employment opportunities also. With the visit to this exhibition the delegation wanted to know and understand the latest developments and the things to come in the Printing and Packaging Industry so as to implement it in our own country.

Anand Limaye, HGS AIFMP, thanked Government of India, Ministry of MSME for providing such opportunities for the overall development of the SMEs of the country. He said, it was possible only with this small encouragement of the GoI for the smaller units to explore the overseas market, I am thankful to the ministry for such an efforts and for such kind of encouraging schemes, Anand added.
