Admissions open for 12-week winemaking course at Nauni

Soon people from the state would be able to enroll in a vocational course on winemaking at the Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni. The university has invited applications from interested persons for its vocational course for the academic session 2023-24. This is the first time the university will be running this programme. The duration of the vocational course will be 12 weeks. The main focus of this course will be on basic concepts along with practical aspects of wine technology. The participants will also be introduced to all the unit operations for the production of wine including packaging, maturation, blending and quality aspects.
 

The minimum educational qualification for this diploma programme is Class 10+2 or equivalent with at least 40 percent. The last date for applying is August 4 and the counselling will be conducted on August 9. A total of 10 seats are available in the programme. The duly filled application form along with attested copies of Class 10, class 10+2 / graduation certificates, character certificate from the head of the school last attended or from a gazetted officer or concerned Gram Panchayat Pradhan, along with a bank draft of Rs 100 must be sent by registered or speed post to the Professor and Head, Department of Food Science & Technology Dr. Y S Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni- Solan (HP) -173230. Applications can also be submitted by hand before the due date.
