ACS launches two Mobile Apps

Shimla, September 6, 2017: Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development) Smt.Manisha Nanda officially launched two mobile apps one android based mobile application developed along with web based administration and management tool for City Livelihoods Centres and another mobile app for the Service Providers which is available in Google Play store by the named-Aajivika Kendra here today.

Speaking on the occasion Smt. Nanda said that an android based mobile application has been developed along with web based administration and management tool for City Livelihoods Centres (CLCs) established in the State at 10 District Head Quarter towns i.e. Shimla, Solan, Bilaspur, Nahan, Hamirpur, Mandi, Una, Kullu, Dharamshala and Chamba under Denn Dayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM). She said that these City Livelihoods Centres have been established with an aim to bridge a gap between the demand and supply of services in a city. Services like requirement of Carpenter, Electronic repair, Tiffin services, Beautician, Food services and other demand based services of the city shall be provided in these centres, she added.

Additional Chief Secretary said that this App would be applicable/ accessible in all District Head Quarter Urban Local Bodies and can be accessed from anywhere and anytime. This is one of its own kinds of App service and has been introduced first time by HP State in the country. A helpline number i.e. 155304 has also been provided in these Urban Local Bodies for enquiring about availability of services in the city livelihood centers, she said.

Smt. Nanda said that the second type of mobile app was for the Service Providers which is available in Google Play store by the name “e-Aajivika Kendra”. The Service Providers can use this app for checking the requests submitted for a service by the customer and accept or reject the same, she said. The service provider shall create his profile on the app by registering and submitting the required docs to the concerned Urban Local Body. After accepting the request for service, the service provider needs to visit the desired place of service of the customer.

Director Urban Development Dr. Devender Kumar Gupta, Commissioner MC Shimla Shri G.C.Negi and other officers from the department, Mission Managers from DAY-NULM and representatives from Urban Local Bodies were also present during the launch ceremony.
