Jalandhar, May 30, 2016: Seven Day Wood Carving Camp of Apeejay College of Fine Arts concluded with full gusto and enthusiasm. The valedictory function was illumined with the gracious presence of Bibi Harjinder Kaur, President, Art Council, Chandigarh. In this event, S.Harwinder Singh Khalsa, President, Punjab Lalit Kala Academy and Prof.Sadhna Sangar, Secretary, Punjab Lalit Kala Academy. In this workshop, the renowned artists from the nook and corners of Punjab exhibited their talents. They touched many burning issues like spiritualism, predicament of human survival, sufferings of farmers and anti-terrorism were prominent. Principal, Dr. Sucharita extended a floral welcome to the worthy Chief Guest Bibi Harjinder Kaur.
Bibi Harjinder Kaur interacted with all the participants of the workshop and got enlightened about the hidden concepts of their artistic works. She addressed the gathering and said that Apeejay is widely known for its love of art and it is proud privilege for the artists to work under one roof and give shape to their thoughts. She highly appreciated the works of all the artists.
Principal Dr. Sucharita whole heartedly thanked Bibi Harjinder Kaur for her support in organising this workshop and she said these were memorable days to watch a simple log of wood taking shapes of abstract ideas. She also appreciated the efforts of Prof. Rajesh Kalsi, Co-Ordinator, Prof Basudeb Biswas, Organizer and Prof. Anil Gupta.
